I’d put Ann Nocenti’s Daredevil run up there with anybody else’s, a notch just below Miller. I didn’t care a lot for Kevin Smith’s run, but a lot of people liked that one too. Daredevil seems to bring out the best in people. I’m actually surprised as many people voted for Nightwing as they did.

When are we going to get the indie comics rumble? Bone vs. Cerebus, Maggie and Hopie vs. Francine and Katchoo, that sort of thing?

I think Daredevil’s lead comes down to the fact that he’s basically a (lower) A-List character while Nightwing is really just (upper) B-List.

And he’s kicked many folks on Nightwings level in the ass many times. Until they’ve cried sometimes.

As for DD beating Nightwing… it’s so true. DD has defeated lots and lots and lots and lots of Ninjas. He can take down Nighwing blindfolded. Oh…wait….

Yeah it’s seems a little more hands down than I expected so far too, but then Daredevil’s had a couple of seminal runs over the years, the Miller years, and he just came off another one with Bendis. Heck, some folks even like what that current writer is doing. Not sure Nightwing has had a big run like that, closest I think of was the Perez years on the Titians and there he was sharing the spotlight, but then I never followed the character myself.
This time everyone I voted for is ahead and I’m happy to stand with the masses on my choices.
