Rumble Pants V: Elite Eight
What is Rumble Pants? Well, the Panteon has decided to play at god once more. We take a few select comic characters and pit them against one another for our amusement, but we figured why keep the fun all to ourselves? So we decided on a format that would require your participation and will hopefully provide amusement for you at the same time. The format is a single elimination tournament with weekly rounds decided by you, the reader. Just keep reading to help decide the ultimate fate of some of your favorite comic characters!
We can now declare the winner of our last round, and it was Iron Fist over the Joker, with a relatively small margin of 25 votes!
The reaction to the indie round was terrific, with some of the closest bouts we’ve seen. But the final tallies have been taken, and now we’re on to round two, with a few more close fights in the mix. Heavy betting is on a Hellboy/Grendel match-up in the end, but there are plenty of rounds to go before we get there.
Remember, this isn’t just about who would be most likely win in each fight; it’s about who you want to win each fight and advance to the next round. Actually, I am surprised that Marv isn’t giving Hellboy more of a bout (I chose Hellboy, too, though) but this round is much more clear cut than the last. My guess will be that the Invincible/Hellboy match will be much closer and the winner of that will take on Usagi.

I picked Marv only because I haven’t read any Hellboy (though I’ll probably rectify that with the HCs I hear Dark Horse will be putting out, assuming I can get them for a reasonable price…)
